FENG SHUI TIPS Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art of energy and harmony of living with the optimum arrangement of our surroundings. Our immediate environment is a reflection of our inner life, so it is important to create a correct balance in our living space. It helps the flow of positive energies, facilitating inner peace in all areas of our life! Feng Shui can be used from the very first steps in building a new home or office, from the location of the land to the shapes of rooms and placement of furniture and other objects. The details are quite fascinating! Becoming more and more popular in North America, I believe you will find our ‘new’ Feng Shui Tips (see below) intriguing and helpful in assisting you in creating a more successful and positive energy flow in your life. Tip 1 - January 6, 2004 Goldfish represent wealth, fertility and luck. Do not place in the kitchen or bedroom. Furniture should be void of sharp corners or angles. Smooth more rounded objects create harmony. Tip 2 - January 21, 2004 Putting a waterfall and or water fountain near the entrance of your home is ideal to bring in positive energy. The water should be placed just outside or just inside your front door. Always make sure the water is fresh, clean and flows continuously to ensure a pure, soothing energy. Avoid still art. Active art creates more energy. Smooth-flowing shapes create a more peaceful easy flow than sharp geometric patterns. Tip 3 - February 8, 2004 Leaking faucets should be fixed immediately! Water represents money and leaking faucets indicate money flowing away from you! To enhance your financial prosperity, keep the toilet seat down at all times when not in use to avoid flushing away your profits. As well always keep the bathroom door closed. Tip 4 - March 1, 2004 Waterfalls or fountains should have the flow of water flowing into the home. Water is linked to prosperity, so water flowing in is money flowing in! A glass of water by your bed and level with your head, will absorb negative energy if you are having trouble sleeping. Throw the water down the drain in the morning to flush away the negative energies absorbed. Tip 5 - March 21, 2004 Avoid hanging items on the back of doors as it increases the weight and adds more struggle to life. Always ensure your bedroom is bathed in light. Most dim lit rooms lacking bright light, create sluggish energy. Tip 6 - April 8, 2004 Your bed should be placed so that your feet do not point toward the door. Energy enters rapidly, and this powerful exposure may cause sleepless nights. If you can’t move the bed, its best to close the door. Do not have your bed placed directly under a window. This encourages you to listen all night to intruders instead of sleeping. Tip 7 - April 28, 2004 EMF (Electro-Magnetic Frequency) pollution from televisions, computers, clock radios … can disrupt energy flow. Televisions in bedrooms should be kept in a cabinet so the screen is not visible when you sleep. Computers should not be kept in the bedroom, but if they are, they should be turned off at night while you sleep. Clock radios should be kept at least 3 feet or more away from your head. Plants, natural crystals, crystal lamps, bees wax candles and full spectrum lighting all help to add natural elements to counteract EMFs. Tip 8 - May 21, 2004 Loved household pets are good for Feng Shui. Pets are moving energy and this enhances the overall energy flow in your home. Tip 9 - June 12, 2004 Photographs of children should be kept in rooms where people gather. This creates joy and shows the results of a happy union. Tip 10 - July 3, 2004 Battery operated clocks and radios instead of electrical ones, are healthier in bedrooms as they do not emit strong EMF pollution. If you use electrical units, please keep at least 3 feet or more away from your head and body when sleeping, to minimize their harmful effects. Tip 11 - August 3, 2004 A bowl of fruit on a dining room table signifies abundance! This is positive energy helping to enhance prosperity. Tip 12 - September 23, 2004 Keep your refrigerator full of food. An empty refrigerator or pantry can indicate a lack of abundance which relates to one’s love life. Tip 13 - October 25, 2004 Fresh Flowers are great for speeding recovery of illnesses, but avoid dried flowers in the home as they are a negative dead energy. Tip 14 - December 15, 2004 Keep your refrigerator full of food. An empty refrigerator or pantry can indicate a lack of abundance, which relates to one’s love life. Tip 15 - January 8, 2005 When pouring a cup of tea, always point the spout away from the receiver. The spout can send hostile energy, misunderstandings and quarrels in relationships. Tip 16 - January 31, 2005 Never serve tea or any beverages in chipped or cracked cups or glassware. It is believed in Chinese culture to cause bad luck in business. Tip 17 - February 16, 2005 When moving always leave the place as you wish it to be found, as this creates good karma. Tip 18 - April 6, 2005 Try stirring the water in your bath before getting in as your hand will stimulate the energy. Tip 19 - May 23, 2005 Adding salt to the water when spring cleaning, will clean more thoroughly and raise the energy levels in the home. Tip 20 - June 17, 2005 Always keep the windows in your house clean to ensure clarity of vision in your life. Tip 21 - August 17, 2005 Using natural beeswax candles, enhances the evening light as they emit plenty of purifying negative (good) ions in the air. Avoid petroleum based candles. Tip 22 - September 17, 2005 Mirrors should be framed unless they are recessed because raw edges produce rough areas in your life. Tip 23 - October 17, 2005 Broken or cracked mirrors should be removed as they can fragment your life. Feng Shui Horoscope 1. Red - You are alert and your life is full of love. 2.
