FRUIT EGG SMOOTHY
• 1-3 sub-acid fruit (apple, pear, grapes, papaya, mango, berries)
•
1-2 raw, organic eggs (always wash the outside of the eggs with cold water)
Blend fruit first, adding just a little bit of water if necessary, then add eggs and gently blend/mix with fruit. This smoothie has a vanilla taste and is a beautifully balanced meal. Enjoy!

• 1 ripe tomato
•
greens ½-1 cup (kale, parsley, dandelion, sprouts, spinach)

• ½ -1 lemon peeled
• optional flavoring: cayenne pepper, herbs, spices, garlic, onion, red pepper

HOT MORNING CEREAL
• ½ cup non-gluten grain (brown rice, quinoa, millet, amaranth, teff)
•
1½-2 cups purified water
optional:
•
½ cup chopped yam, squash or parsley root
•
dried fruit
•
ghee or oil
Soak grain overnight, in the morning drain the water, put new water into the grain and add veggies. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 15-30 minutes. Halfway through add dried
fruit. Serve garnished with a bit of ghee or oil (if using oil wait till the cereal cools a little).
Teff and Amaranth are very small grains that you might want to combine with any other listed grain in a 1 to 3 ratio. This is a much better substitute for oatmeal as these grains are
gluten-free and will not inhibit absorption, clog the colon or produce mucous. Very satisfying in the cold weather.
NUT/SEED MILK
• ½ cup raw nuts or seeds. The best are: almond, hazelnut, pecan, sunflower, sesame and pumpkin. Please stay away from peanuts and cashews.
•
1½ cup water
Optional:
•
raw honey or organic maple syrup or stevia
•
¼ cup of soaked dates or raisins (soak 4 hours in room temperature water)
•
½ banana
•
1-2 tsp of carob powder
•
cinnamon
You could control the amount by changing quantity of nuts/seeds and water, keeping the 1-3 or 1-4 ratio, depending on how thick you’d like your milk to be.
To increase nutrition and
energy of your seeds soak them for 8-12 hours, drain the water, put seeds and new water in the blender, and blend until it’s white and thorough blended (10-30
seconds in K-TEC or Vita-Mix). Strain using a fine to medium strainer and a spatula. Discard the pulp, put the liquid back into the blender and add whatever ingredients you are using for
flavor. Blend again. It is super-high in protein and very easy to digest because you’re not eating the pulp. Can be used as a breakfast or snack. Enjoy!
